The meeting pointed out that the comprehensive promotion of mechanized grain harvesting is an effective measure to reduce losses in the harvesting process. In the past, the loss rate of traditional manual harvesting sometimes reached more than 10%. At present, the loss rate of mechanical harvesting in my country is about 1.5%-5%, and it can be reduced to less than 1.5% in areas that do well. However, it should also be noted that there is still a gap between my country's mechanical harvest loss control and agricultural mechanization developed countries, and measures must be taken to reduce mechanical harvest losses.

The meeting emphasized that all localities should make the "Three Autumn" mechanized production the most important work at present. One is to strengthen technical guidance. Choose suitable machinery and suitable cutting time according to local conditions, adjust the state of machinery, and promptly carry out refitting of harvesting machinery for crops that are severely fallen due to disasters. The second is to strengthen equipment upgrades. Support the research and development of high-efficiency and low-loss harvesting machinery and speed up the upgrading. Give full play to the role of guarding the source of agricultural machinery test and identification, and guide enterprises to improve the technical level of harvesting machinery. Speed up the elimination of old harvesting machinery. The third is to strengthen training and management services. Thoroughly implement the technical guidance on grain harvest and loss reduction, strengthen the training of operators, go deep into the fields, and provide guidance services.
