Mechanized Wheat Harvesting and Loss Reduction Techniques

In order to promote mechanization measures and increase the yield of grain and oil crops on a large scale, FOTMA organized training on wheat mechanization harvesting and loss reduction techniques, as well as loss monitoring, to help increase agricultural production and efficiency, and ensure farmers' high yields and income.

At the wheat harvesting site, technicians conducted sampling and investigation on the work site in accordance with the "2025 Monitoring and Measurement Method for Mechanical Harvesting Losses of Major Grain and Oil Crops".

At the harvest site, the agricultural machinery operators received training on grain and oil crop reduction techniques and safe production operations. The technicians provided on-site guidance on the adjustment and maintenance methods of the main components of the grain combine harvester, and distributed more than 100 promotional materials. Through training, the awareness of reducing losses and increasing production has been enhanced, providing technical support for the return of summer grain granules to the warehouse.

Next, the Municipal Agricultural Machinery Center will continue to play a technical support role, increase technical guidance and training services for summer and autumn harvest agricultural machinery operations, guide farmers to scientifically choose harvest timing and methods, improve the standardized operation level of machine operators, improve the long-term mechanism of machine harvest loss tracking services and monitoring investigations, and promote high grain yield and harvest, as well as grain return to storage.
