In the golden autumn of September, over 5 million mu of grain crops in Ordos City are thriving and are about to enter the harvest season. As of September 23, the city has harvested 383,000 mu of grain crops, with the autumn harvest progress remaining largely consistent with last year. The efficiency and quality of grain harvesting and storage directly impact annual agricultural production and the interests of farmers. The Municipal Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau adheres to the principle of "early preparation, early deployment, and early implementation." Through three major measures—policy support, agricultural machinery safeguards, and post-harvest services—the bureau systematically addresses issues at each stage of the autumn harvest, ensuring a bountiful and successful grain yield across the city.
The Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, through policy guidance and technological empowerment, continues to promote the transformation of agricultural machinery and equipment towards intelligence, greenness, and efficiency, and assists in the high-quality development of modern agriculture. Fully utilize the guiding role of subsidies for the purchase and application of agricultural machinery, actively strive for higher-level subsidy funds, and currently allocate a total of 87.61 million yuan. The subsidy targets include farmers, herdsmen, and agricultural production and operation organizations in all banners and districts of the city. The city has accepted 4281 applications for agricultural machinery purchase subsidies, including various autumn grain harvesting machinery such as grain combine harvesters, corn combine harvesters, and grain dryers, providing strong support for mechanized production in agriculture and animal husbandry.
To ensure that agricultural machinery is adequately prepared, used smoothly, and efficient during the autumn harvest period, the Municipal Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau injects strong 'action power' into the autumn harvest operation through systematic scheduling and comprehensive services, starting from resource coordination, capacity improvement, and safety guarantee. Advance coordination of agricultural machinery resources in various banners and districts. Currently, there are 84000 agricultural machinery available for autumn harvest in the city, and more than 11000 types of agricultural machinery have been repaired and debugged. Over 700 operators and repairmen have been trained, 165 safety production inspections have been carried out, 133 on-site agricultural machinery safety publicity activities have been conducted, and more than 14000 promotional materials have been distributed. By distributing manuals, organizing field demonstrations, and broadcasting science popularization videos, we aim to explain agricultural machinery operation standards and emergency procedures, enhance the safety awareness of farmers and farm operators, and reduce accidents. The Municipal Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau has also released a convenience list, including a hotline for agricultural machinery support, emergency team phone numbers, etc., to facilitate farmers to seek help (see attachment for details) and ensure the smooth progress of autumn harvest.
