At present, it is a critical period for cotton planting. Focusing on scientific research innovation and technology promotion, combined with industrial development layout, we vigorously carry out cotton regional experiments, production experiments, and demonstration projects for the integration of water and fertilizer in machine cotton harvest technology, empowering the high-quality development of the cotton harvesting industry with technology.
In the field of scientific research experiments, the center, in collaboration with provincial and municipal agricultural research institutes, has carefully deployed two major experimental projects in Aerospace Town, introducing 37 varieties. Through systematic and standardized planting, the adaptability, stress resistance, and yield potential of each variety under the climate and soil conditions of Jinta County are comprehensively evaluated. The aim is to screen cotton varieties with excellent comprehensive traits that are suitable for local promotion, provide scientific basis for cotton variety upgrading, and lay a solid foundation for subsequent large-scale promotion of varieties. In terms of demonstration and promotion, focusing on the core problems of poor variety adaptability, high harvesting loss, and low water and fertilizer utilization efficiency in machine picked cotton production, four high-quality cotton varieties including Wine Cotton 21, Wine Cotton 23, Medium Cotton 113, and L204 were selected to vigorously carry out special demonstrations of machine picked cotton technology integrating water and fertilizer integration. Through the integration of mechanical harvesting, agricultural matching, and precise water and fertilizer regulation technologies, efforts were made to explore new models of machine picked cotton planting suitable for County, continuously creating standardized and efficient planting models, and fully promoting the transformation and upgrading of cotton harvesting production towards scale, mechanization, and intelligence.
