During this year's wheat harvester season, we closely focused on the concept of "reducing losses is increasing production", and comprehensively promoted the work of reducing losses in machine harvesting through four major measures: publicity and training, equipment upgrading, operational support, and full process supervision, with significant results. As of now, all 842500 acres of wheat in the entire region have been harvested by machines, with an average machine harvest loss rate controlled at 0.6%, far below the national standard of 2%. Based on an average yield of 430 kilograms per mu, a decrease of 1.4 percentage points in the loss rate is equivalent to a reduction of approximately 6 kilograms per mu, resulting in the recovery of over 5000 tons of wheat in the entire region. Calculated at a market price of 2.4 yuan per kilogram, it is expected to help farmers increase their income by about 12 million yuan.
The Agriculture and Rural Bureau has solidly promoted the reduction of machine income from multiple aspects. In terms of publicity and training, 12 large-scale publicity, training, and competition activities were organized, 7 specialized training courses for combine harvester drivers were held, training 334 people, and more than 1000 copies of the "Technical Specifications for Grain Harvesting Loss Reduction" were compiled, printed, and distributed to promote the deepening of loss reduction technology in the front line. In terms of equipment upgrades, a total of 224.77 million yuan in subsidies from the central and autonomous regions has been implemented, benefiting 5398 households who purchase machinery. 239 new grain harvesting machines and 199 sowing machines have been added, significantly improving the operational capabilities of agricultural machinery. In terms of job security, 602 cross regional operation certificates for combine harvesters were issued, and 31 agricultural production service teams were established to fully ensure efficient and orderly harvesting. In terms of quality supervision, 36 monitoring and sampling points for machine harvesting losses have been established in 26 villages in 22 townships, implementing full process tracking and monitoring to ensure that all loss reduction measures are implemented effectively.
This year, through a refined and fully covered machine harvest reduction action, not only has the quality of wheat harvest significantly improved, truly achieving "grain return to the warehouse", but also the reduction of grain consumption has been transformed into real income growth for farmers, providing solid support for ensuring regional food security and promoting farmers' income growth.
